I was in Atlanta for Dragon Con several years ago. The streets were difficult to traverse because abandoned “community scooters” lay in the middle of intersections, in sidewalks, and in the gutter. I watched a guy screech to a halt in the middle of the road and let it drop. Who asked for this “public service?” I have a theory. Guy sidles up to a tapeworm. “I represent the Gufaltixarp Electric Scooter Company. We would love to contribute to your campaign fund, and your city would be so grateful if you provided them with these stylish electric scooters.” What other explanation is possible?
