I shop at a crazy supermarket called Esh’s in Loveland, Colorado. Esh’s purchases whatever looks good from wholesalers at a discount, because most of their products are past their due date. A lot of the time, this makes no difference. Boxed rice and canned beans will keep forever. Esh’s always has a huge selection of coffees from around the world, all past due. I am still trying to determine if the past due beans pack the same caffeine punch as fresh. When I was younger, I used to feel like an alcohol fueled dragster after my first cup. Now, not so much.
