As someone who grew up reading Mike Baron's comics, it's always strange to hear him writing about music. It feels so wonderfully out of context, you get a little sense of what it must have been like to be a student at Imperial College and bumping into Brian May (Queen guitarist/physicist).
That said, you can't bring up Little Steven and not mention that he's one of the best deejays of all time. If you don't believe me, or you're too young to know what a deejay is, you should try listening to Little Steven's Underground Garage on SiriusXM.
Also, you can't bring up Wicked Cool Records without mentioning The Cocktail Slippers! Not around me anyway.
You should seriously consider teaching music history class at local universities. Much of today's music is crap. I always find that when we know the history of things, we can do them better. Much better.
